A burst pipe doesn't give you much warning, one minute everything is fine, the next there's water coming through a wall or ceiling. We respond to burst pipes and other leak repairs across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter, with the goal of stopping the water first and then fixing the problem properly without pulling the house apart.
Smaller leaks, a dripping tap, a running toilet, a mixer that won't fully turn off, are the ones that quietly inflate your water bill. We fix those too, usually in a single visit.

What we work on
- Burst pipe repairs: Copper, PEX, galvanised iron, all common pipe materials, including the older ones in heritage homes where a copper line has failed next to a joist.
- Tap and mixer replacement: Washers, cartridges, spindles or full mixer units. Kitchen, bathroom, laundry, outdoor.
- Toilet cistern repairs: Running cisterns, slow-fill, dual-flush that only half-flushes, cracked buttons and seals.
- Water meter repairs: Damaged meter boxes, broken isolation stop taps at the meter, leaks in the meter-to-house pipework.
- Hidden pipe leaks: Water bill up suddenly with no visible leak? We locate concealed leaks in walls, under slabs or in the yard.
What to do if a pipe bursts
- 1Turn off the water at the main stop tap, usually at the front of the property near the meter box.
- 2Turn off the hot water system too if the burst is on the hot side (prevents the element dry-firing on an electric unit).
- 3Open the lowest cold tap in the house to drain pressure out of the lines.
- 4Move anything of value away from the wet area and take photos for insurance before any clean-up.
- 5Call us. We'll give you a realistic ETA and talk you through anything else you can do while you wait.
Frequently asked questions
Will you need to cut open walls or ceilings?
Sometimes, yes. Hidden pipe leaks at times only have access through plasterboard. We cut neatly and you'll know before any plaster comes off.
Can you just stop the leak and come back to properly fix it later?
For emergencies, yes. We'll do a controlled temporary fix, isolate what needs isolating, and book the proper repair for a scheduled day.
My water bill has jumped. Can you find the leak?
Yes, we track down hidden leaks. Most are at a joint under a slab or where the service line comes into the house.
What's a mixer cartridge?
The internal part of a modern single-lever mixer tap that controls hot/cold mix and flow. When mixers start dripping or get stiff to operate, it's almost always the cartridge rather than the whole tap, which is much cheaper to replace than the full unit.
