No hot water is the call we take more than any other. Cold shower on a July morning, no hot water for the washing up, kids won't bath: it stops the house. We service, repair and replace hot water systems across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the wider Hunter Region, usually the same day for urgent breakdowns.
We work on gas, electric and heat pump systems, storage tanks and continuous-flow units, and we're licensed gas fitters, so a gas unit swap doesn't need a second trade on site.

What we work on
- Gas hot water systems: Storage and continuous flow. Repair, replacement and new installs for natural gas and LPG.
- Electric hot water systems: Element replacement, thermostat replacement, full tank replacement when the tank itself has gone.
- Heat pump systems: Install and replacement, a lot cheaper to run than resistance electric and the quietest option for an outside wall.
- Storage tank replacements: Like-for-like swaps across all common brands, plus upgrades when a bigger household means the old 125L isn't keeping up.
- Tempering valves: Required by code on all new installs, delivers water to the tap at a safe max temperature.
Signs it's time for a replacement rather than a repair
- The tank is 10+ years old and starting to leak at the base
- You've paid for two separate repairs on the same unit in the last 12 months
- Rust-coloured hot water coming through the taps (the tank's internal lining has failed)
- The unit is undersized for the household and runs out mid-shower
- It's a bare-element electric and you want to drop the hot water portion of the power bill

Can you fix it same-day?
Same-day service for urgent breakdowns wherever possible. For replacements, same-day depends on which model and size is in stock. We'll confirm stock and timing on the call.
Gas, electric or heat pump: what should I pick?
Depends on what you've got installed now, what fuel is available at the property, how many people are in the house, and whether you have solar PV. On average: natural gas is cheapest to run if you've already got it; heat pump is cheapest for a household that only has electric; electric storage is the cheapest install but the most expensive to run.
What size unit do I need?
Rough rule: 125L for a 2-person household on electric, 160–250L for 3–4 people, 315L+ for 5+. Gas continuous-flow is sized by flow rate (litres per minute) rather than storage, and depends on how many taps run at once. We'll size it properly on inspection.
Can I upgrade to a heat pump?
Yes in most cases. We check the available outside wall position, electrical supply, condensate drain and clearance to windows. If it won't suit the site, we'll recommend a better option.
